Advertising and Communication Agencies Artwork Requirements. General Terms and Conditions:
Production lead time
Once digital proofs from our side have been emailed back to you, and you approve them, lead time is between 5 and 8 working days. Please allow an additional 2 working days if delivery is required. A Rush Order fee may be charged if completion is required in less than 5 working days.
1. Accepted File Formats
Preferred: High Res Vector PDF, or EPS files / Logos.
Also accepted: High-resolution PNG, TIFF, or JPEG (minimum 300 DPI)
Not accepted: AI Generated Artwork, PowerPoint, Whats App images or low-res screenshots.
2. Artwork Set Up Fee
A Standard Artwork Set Up Fee of R250 ex vat will be charged on all print ready artwork received regardless of how many designs or products there are. Digital proofs will be sent before printing. We allow THREE free changes, after which each change is billed at R225 ex vat per change.
3. Colour Requirements
Colour mode: CMYK (not RGB)
Spot colours: Use Pantone Solid Coated (PMS) references if colour accuracy is essential. Please provide Pantone reference numbers when artwork is supplied.
Note: Colours may vary slightly between screen and print due to material and ink differences.
4. Resolution & Image Quality
All raster images should be at least 300 DPI at actual print size.
Avoid images copied from websites — these are typically 72 DPI and will appear blurry.
5. Fonts & Text
Convert all text to outlines/curves to prevent font substitutions.
If submitting editable files, include font files (.TTF or .OTF).
6. Bleed & Safe Area
Bleed: Add 10–20 mm (depending on product) around all edges for trimming.
Safe area: Keep all important elements (logos, text) at least 25 mm away from edges.

7. File Size & Upload
Maximum file size for upload/email: 15 MB
For larger files, use WeTransfer.
Always include your order number, quote number and company name in the file name.
8. Proofing
A digital proof will be sent before printing. We allow THREE free changes, after which each change is billed at R225 ex vat per change. If you require colour swatches these can be couried to you. Colour swatches are charged at R195 ex vat, excludes delivery or courier charges.
Please check spelling, colours, and layout carefully before approval — printing begins only after client sign-off.
End User Artwork Creation, General Terms and Conditions:
Artwork Creation Costs and Procedures.
Our In-House Design Team are ready and waiting to impress you with creative design proofs at extremely affordable rates. Please take note. We will not start any design creation before the Artwork Creation Fee listed on your formal quote is paid or 60% starting deposit of entire quote. This applies to Logo Redrawing as well.
1. Logos and Artwork [NB]
PDF / Vector Logo:
You need to Email your Logo to us in Vector PDF Format. This is very important. We cannot use jpeg or any other format. To check if your logo is vector simply zoom in up close, if your logo stays 100% crisp and does not pixelate or distort, it is Vector PDF. If it pixelates, or looks unclear, we will not be able to use it.
The same applies to backgrounds or elements you would like in your designs. Each element, whether it be a background image, close up’s of products / images, must be in high res VECTOR PDF format.
Logo Redraw:
If you do not have a high res Vector PDF logo we will quote you on a re draw cost whereby we digitally redraw the logo from scratch into full vector PDF format. We charge R495 ex vat, per hour for this service. A formal quote will be emailed to you with hours needed prior to starting the redraw process.
PLEASE NOTE: Screenshots, whats app logos or images, PNG, J-Peg, Word, Excel & Power-Point images / files are NOT Suitable for our print & production process and cannot be used.
AI and Chatgpt created artwork: We do not accept AI or Chatgpt created artwork as it is not pure Vector PDF.
Images:
If images are included in your artwork, they need to be high resolution [at least 10 megs in size]. We cannot make use of whats app pics either. If your image or file size is greater than 15megs per image, rather use https://wetransfer.com/ to send us the artwork.
If we are required to place images in the design a proper design brief must be sent to us so we have a clear understand of the look and feel you require.
Design Brief:
We will require a design brief please. This makes it easier for us to understand what your expectation is with regards to design, look and feel. Please also supply additional info such as:
Basic layout outline of base colour/s, website & social media details, any other contact details for splurb / catch phrase / motto / slogans, specific fonts, etc.
Design Costs / Artwork Creation:
Our in-house artwork creation fees are extremely affordable and range from R495 ex vat up to R695 ex vat depending on the complexity of the design required and what is provided initially to us.
Once we send you design proofs from our side you are allowed 3 x FREE Changes. Further changes are charged at R225 ex vat, per change.
Fonts:
If you use a specific font, please supply us with the font or font name.
Production Lead Times:
Once you have approved the final design proofs emailed to you and full payment is made, production usually takes 6 to 10 working days. Please allow an additional 2 to 3 working days for the order to arrive with our couriers to our various branches or directly to your doorstep.
Corporate colours / Colour matching / Pantone Colours:
If your company has specific colours, ie: PANTONE COLOURS, you will need to supply us with these please. It is of vital importance to make us aware of these PANTONE COLOURS as what you see on your screen is by no means what will be printed on the actual end product. We cannot take responsibility for colour variations if these PANTONE COLOURS are not given to us.
